RCSD investigating overnight homicide at Rice Terrace

Okay. So I am sitting at my mom's apartment last night, watching TV on the couch at 1:00 in the morning and the next thing I hear is, "BAM BAM BAM, BAM BAM BAM!" Six gunshots. I was like, "What the fuck was that?" I got up to look out the window, and opened the door a little but I didn't see anything so I went to sit back down. Then I hear another six gunshots, "BAM BAM BAM, BAM BAM BAM." I called out at my mom, "Hey fool, did you hear those gunshots?" but she didn't answer back because she was knocked out cold. She had called it a night hours ago. I remained awake for two more house to see if I would hear sirens or something, but I didn't. I dismissed the whole issue, figuring somebody was hunting or that maybe Joe from next door was practicing shooting since he's a police officer and all. But then, the next day, my mom and I woke up to go to the store, and we couldn't even get out the apartment because there was yellow tape surrounding the entire area! There were also cops, and detectives, and WIS news teams. I was like, "HOLY SHIT!" We were informed that a murder took place right next door. A 23 year old was found dead in his car, shot twelve time--count them up--and if I had walked out last night after the first six rounds were fired, I would have been an unwanted eyewitness to the vehicle and to the homicide. The news representatives were asking me if I knew anything, or if I had seen anything, but I told them I only heard it. I was like, "Wow, this is some crazy shit!" I knew the apartment manager had to be down at the office, banging her head against the desk, screaming, "Why does this always happen here?" I mean, damn, first a suicide, and now a homicide? You won't be getting any recommendations La**le. You better bring that rent down if you're gonna keep people there because we've already talked to several people this morning who want to move out of the area.
